My name is Bonaventure F. P. Dossou, I am a Ph.D. student at McGill University, Canada at the Research Center of Intelligent Machines, currently in the Probabilistic Vision Group working on Causal Temporal Deep Models for Medical Imaging under the supervision of Prof. Tal Arbel. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Bioinformatics. Previously, I worked on Drug Discovery projects (using Active Learning & GFlowNets), at Mila under the supervision of Yoshua Bengio and Dianbo Lui, and I was an NLP Researcher at Google Research and Roche Canada.
My interests are in Natural Language Processing (Machine Translation, Large Language Modeling, Speech Recognition, Information Retrieval) for low-resourced languages, Machine Learning for Healthcare (Drug Discovery, small molecule generations, gene therapy), and Computer Vision (Medical Imaging analyses, Scene and Surface Reconstruction, Object Segmentation, Facial Recognition, Object Classification).
